What Is It?
Patient Partner is the new automated way of checking, cancelling or booking your own appointment at the surgery.
You telephone the surgery as normal (01782 838355), and choose an option from the menu.
One of the main benefits of using Patient Partner is that you are able to telephone the surgery at any time - even when we are closed.
We do plan to expand the system in the future to enable routine appointments to be booked using this system, but we will be starting with bookable Flu Vaccination clinics in the near future, and then annual review clinics.
How Do I Use It?
All you need to use this new system is a touch-tone telephone, your contact telephone number, and date of birth.
When you telephone the surgery during surgery hours you will hear four options:
- To cancel or check the time of your appointment, press 1
- For information on ordering a repeat prescription, press 2
- For test results, press 3
- For all other enquiries, please press 0 or hold to speak to a receptionist
If you ring the surgery when we are closed you will be given the option to check or cancel an appointment, and details of how to contact the Out-of-Hours service.
You must inform us if you change your contact telephone numbers - your home and mobile. The system will only recognise the telephone number that we have on the system for you.
